We have different skin types and colours, concerns and goals, and some habits that are not skin-friendly – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless treatment and skincare options out there, understanding and finding the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.

If you have mild skin concerns or you’d like to feel more confident in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist practitioner or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation

Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any particular skin concerns and what your skin goals are. We combine that information with a full skin examination and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and skincare plan for you.

During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully examine your skin, including assessing the texture, thickness and colour which could concerns such as acne or pigmentation. Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress  your treatment plan.

We’ll then discuss your daily and monthly skincare and treatment plan to get the best results for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of options including chemical peels, microneedling or Hydrafacial, and skincare to use at home. Depending on your goals or the severity of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or specialist nurse. And if you are interested in injectables as a solution to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

To secure an appointment, we will require a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be secured against your booking. Virtual consultations are free of charge subject to a £25 deposit. In-person consultations are priced at £50. Please refer to our for more information.

Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised treatment plan will be recommended. If you have more pronounced skin that require a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse prescriber or doctor for .

Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, discuss your concerns and create a recommended treatment plan.

The consultation is completely free, but we do require a £25 deposit to secure your . You won’t be charged if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your over 48 hours before your appointment in line with our cancellation policy.​
